Croatia Property
Croatia offers an excellent opportunity for investment in
property:
- Growth and sound economy: 5% annual GDP growth
(currently) and a mixed economy ( 30% industry, 60% services and
10% agriculture.
- Stable currency: the Kuna closely follows the Euro
and major transactions (including property) are often negotiated
in Euros.
- EU membership: Croatia is negotiating to enter the EU
in 2008. Although this is in the early stages of discussion it should further boost it's economy. Other EU states
( e.g. Hungary and Poland) all enjoyed high price increases prior
to accession.
- Slovenia example: Slovenia posted a 40%
property rises in the two years before it's accession to the EU.
- Market comparison: Croatia prices are already rising,
however property is still substantially cheaper than Spain,
Portugal or Italy.
- Good Rental yields: Croatia is growing as a Tourist
destination. Indeed it is currently viewed as the hot spot for
Europe. This will support good
rental yields.
- Limited Supply: For high end property the supply is currently
limited and forecast to remain limited.
- Istria Property: Istria offers all the benefits of
Croatia plus; easy access from Italy; a choice of budget airline
destinations within 2 hours drive; stunning landscape and
historic villages with over 400km of coast housing many yacht
basins. All this means good rental yields and excellent
potential for capital appreciation. >

it important that they are all made readily available. Some of the
